Our Mission

My name is Shena and I am a licensed veterinary technician.  I originally founded Vet Tech Support on instagram and facebook as an outlet for technicians to reach out for support.  From my own experiences I realized the lack of support within the veterinary community.  We work long hours, short staffed, no lunch breaks, physically and emotionally demanding, and all for less than we should be getting paid.  With that there is a huge mental health problem within this field - anxiety, depression, PTSD, and even suicide.  There wasn't a specific support group for veterinary nurses, and so this was created!

Our mission is to help those who help animals.  To be a support group of veterinary nurses to come together in a judgement free zone.  To help end the stigma that is anxiety or depression.  To help others with mental health and self care.  Most importantly to come together as a group of people to help each other and ourselves!
